FeedShow began in 2005 as a free online RSS reader. You could import your subscriptions as an OPML file, sort feeds into folders, save items, print them or turn them into PDFs, and the service was one of the first aggregators to share advertising revenue with the publishers whose feeds it displayed. It ran in English and French, and for a few years it was a familiar name among people who followed blogs by feed.
The reader stopped working in the mid-2010s, like many small aggregators did after Google Reader set the price of a feed reader at zero and then closed in 2013. After that the domain changed hands more than once, and for a while it hosted pages that had nothing to do with feeds.
What FeedShow is now
Since February 2026 FeedShow is an independent site about reading the web by feed. We are not the team that built the original reader and we do not claim to be. We kept the name because a lot of people still link to it, and because the idea behind it still holds: you should be able to follow the sites you like without an algorithm deciding what you see.
Here you will find:
- Guides to RSS, Atom and OPML for people who are not developers.
- Reviews and comparisons of feed readers, hosted and self-hosted.
- News and opinion about the open web and syndication.
- Free tools that run in your browser: the OPML Builder, which lives at the same address the old one did, and a subscribe helper.
How we work
We test the readers we write about with our own subscriptions, and we say when we have not. Nobody pays to be reviewed. If a company is mentioned, it is because it is relevant to the question, and when a link is sponsored it will say so next to it.
Something wrong or out of date? Tell us and we will fix it.
